The American Bladesmith Society, Inc. pledges to diligently, reasonably and responsibly work exclusively for the purposes of promoting and advancing the art and science of the forged blade and other implements. And also to inform and educate the public in respect to bladesmithing, metal forging and heat treating processes, knife and tool design and fabrication, related arts and other areas in which the Society has expertise.

Effective September 14, 2009 membership services in the American Bladesmith Society, Inc. are now being administered by Dan and Sally Cassidy in preparation for the launch of the new ABS website. Dan can be reached at (719)539-1033 or by email to assist you.


All ABS membership renewals, changes in address or other personal information, as well as new member applications should be mailed to:

Please do not attempt to renew or join online at this time. You will be notified when the new ABS website application is online and available. The new website will allow ABS membrs to log in, view their membership status, update their personal information, and renew their membership online. New members will be able to join the ABS online.

If the ABS has your current email address on file, you will receive a personal email when the new ABS website is available online.
